5 Master Edits with Sound Link:  https://youtu.be/mpBLkWuGVSw In the first clip (contrast) I left in the direct sound, I felt that the original sound was an essential part of the scene, particularly the typing, and that any change may have altered the flow of the scene. In the second clip (symbolism) I added a voice over primarily to better explain the scene and how it related to symbolism as I felt that might be a little confusing in the original scene. In the third clip (simultaneity) I added post-synchronization dubbing in the form of footsteps. I did this to further emphasize the climbing of the stairs. In the fourth clip (parallelism) I again left in direct sound this was to ensure that I kept the conversation between the two characters intact. In the fifth clip (leitmotif) I added music specifically Can't Touch This by MC Hammer because it directly related to the hammer time dance the characters from the scene were doing.

Mise-en-scene

       I chose to write about the movie "Spotlight".  I chose this movie primarily because I had not seen it before and I had heard it was a very good movie. "Spotlight" is a movie detailing the investigation and story of the spotlight team at the Boston Globe and their reporting of the systemic abuse of children and cover-ups by the Catholic Church.        There are multiple locations that movie takes place in, however, in primarily is set within the office of the Boston Globe,  the homes of the journalists, a Boston high school, and courthouses. These settings most key feature is their proximity. Throughout the movie, as the journalists slowly unwind the scandal and the cover-up they begin to realize how far-reaching the influence if the church and how widespread the issue of the abuse is. This is a choker a tight close up that is usually showing something like a face. This is a close up a shot of an isolated part of a subject or object. This is an extreme close up a magnified shot of a small detail. This is a flash shot a very brief shot, often for shock effect. \ This is a follow shot a shot in which the camera follows the subject. This is a full shot a shot in which the entire body of the subject is shown. This is a high angle shot a shot filmed high above the subject. This is an over the shoulder shot a shot filmed from the character's point of view that shows their shoulder.   This is a pan shot a shot in which the camera moves horizontally around a fixed axis from one part of a scene to another.
